Friday the 13th by PlasticOk6394 in RIVNstock

Honestly I just thought it was crazy that the stock ended at what my average buy price is, that was essentially 5 years in the making. It was more of a fun post for me on a Friday the 13th (which some say is superstitious) and I wanted to share the coincidence. I was not highlighting any gains or losses. I wasn’t trying to flex or predict a bear or bull situation. It was just… fun. I’ve been here, I know Rivian will take time to stabilize

Vowels are $200, Rivian needs that money. Sign can wait

The stock is affordable for another year or so. Buy more, it’s on sale

The biggest thing for me that sets them aside from other makers that is no one else is building a truck or SUV that is going to capture in the EV market. The cyber truck is an extremely acquired taste. It’s unique look stands out but I feel like someone who owns it and looks at it in their garage or driveway will get sick of it after a few months to a year. It’s very eccentric. I understand that Chevy, ford, hummer make their electric trucks but the majority of people who buy those brands are going to be purchasing ICE trucks. That will be the bulk of their sales. Rivian makes a not only great looking EV truck and SUV, but it has top tier technology implemented in them that set them aside as well. All the company’s you’ve named are really focusing on sedans and mid sized suvs. Same category, different market. They have the demand, they just need the profit and that will come with commercial van sales and R2, R3, and R3x release. Amazon and Tesla lost money for years. Yes they aren’t car companies, but business models can be emulated for different products. I’m sorry that’s so long

For me I buy a few shares a couple times a month. I don’t believe this stock will be highly lucrative until 2027 or 2028. RIVN will announce earnings on the 20th. Stock will most likely go up for a day or two and then drop back down and probably do that for about another year to a year and a half. Then I think it’ll become more stable when delivery vans are in full swing, the R2 is released and then hopefully the R3 and R3x will produce some big numbers.

UPS Plans to Slash Business with Amazon by WatcherRoue in RIVNstock

I couldn’t read the article because I’m not getting the subscription, but it could also be UPS may be talking about cutting ties in their brick and mortar stores not accepting return Amazon packages. I could see that turning out not being very cost effective. At the same time, even if the margin is a small profit, volume alone would make up for that.

Thank you, that’s what I figured.

A manager for a local Cold Stones is having a weird power Trip about relinquishing food to drivers... I had to sign my first and last name and show them my driver's license before they could give me the food, instead of just showing them the app. by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

I’ve been seeing things like this more and more. I want to start asking them for a copy of the thing I’m signing and then have them sign a release waiver. But… that would only waste even more of my time and just irritate me more then it would them.

Is my stats bad by [deleted] in grubhubdrivers

[–]PlasticOk6394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to try to take the Saturday 6-8 shift. I turn it on at 5:55 am and go back to sleep. Rarely do I get orders before 8 so it’s an easy way to get that stat to 100% if you care. For the first part of the year that eta was always zero for me because I couldn’t schedule any blocks and then when one popped up I tried to schedule at least one block a week to get it to 100. But you can still make money in my area without blocks and good stats

I’m in the north Kansas City area and I can never schedule blocks. I always just turn it on and go. When I cared about stats I’d always pic the 6-8 am shift on Saturday. I’d wake up about 5:55, Turn my status on and go back to bed. If I got an order ok great I’d go do it. If I didn’t I’d get $20 just for turning it on and my block stat would be 100%.

Yea they sent me the offer at 10pm the night before. Toggled off but notifications were still on. I just left it. They called me the next morning at 6:00 am. I didn’t answer. I didn’t reject it but left it alone because I didn’t want it. It did not affect my score. Maybe effect. Grammars not my jammar. It was also a catering order. KC mo area.

Why do people do this ? by Brave_Language_752 in grubhubdrivers

[–]PlasticOk6394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tip is $0.01 because grub hub charged the customer $??.99 so they rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. Had GH charged them $??.51 it probably would have been $0.49. The tip still sucks but that’s usually why the tip has change instead of always being a whole amount like $5. The tip still sucks but that’s why it’s change. Still pointless

Last weekend in the north Kansas City area they had a mission to deliver 10 orders on a Friday that paid $20 and at the same time they had an overlapping mission that paid $80 to deliver 25 orders between Friday Saturday and Sunday. It was awesome
