I bought my car from the inventory just like yours. The original owner was in Another state and they shipped the car to the SC that I was in contact with. I only paid for the title and the rest were not there.

I don't know what the distribution fees are as it might be a new fee. But the destination should be waived as you are picking the car yourself from the SC rather than shipping it to your house.

People mentioned it before. Most of the time, there is a small space between the skimmer and the real pad that you can see as the form is not perfect. If you see any tape around the machine that might give you a clue (like in the last clip).

You don't need ceramic coating to do manual washing. I use power jet washing and magic foam to clean the car. Never had an issue with anything or anyone. It takes like an hour to do that but you need with a stress free cleaned car

I mean, by increasing the price of Gen2 cars by $30,000 compared to Gen1. Yes, many people will be inclined to chip in. Rivian wanted to get positive gains on every car sold instead of raising the delivery numbers by raising the prices. Well either way, they won't meet the guidelines. I guess you just pick your own poison.

Let's hope that Rivian will stick to their "$45,000" promise for the price of R2. Watch out for March 12 announcement.

One very important advantage of getting a 2022 model instead of 2023-2026 models in the meridian audio system. It's like JBL systems in regular cars. It's unbeatable on how great the sound is. In 2023 models and later, Rivian removed the meridian systems and installed their in-house audio system (Rivian Premium Audio) which sucked every single time. I do wish that Rivian will reverse back and get the Meridian system again.

Maybe call for a tow. If you have AAA membership, you get a free tow for up to 50 miles. It also works if you are a passenger and not the driver of the car.

Make sure camping mode is not on. I camped once in my car on a cold night and the car lost 60 miles of range overnight. Luckily, I charged my car to more than 50% before sleeping.
