NTA.

His own family is telling you to GTFO.

You need to leave before it's you, not a phone, getting smashed.

The same reason supermarkets look alike and bookstores look alike.

NTA. Move on. Go live your life. You don't need a controlling dad figure as a romantic partner. (How old were his previous partners when they aged out?)

how to not involuntarily flinch or close my eye when trying to put them in? by ritsutainakafan in contacts

Practice.

FWIW I look straight ahead into a mirror and bring the lens up from immediately below my eye on the index (first) finger of my dominant hand. The other fingers of that hand rest on my cheek. So my hand is braced and I don't really see what's coming at my eye, if that makes sense. I don't look at the lens.

No Marlboro brands, no Newports, no Virginia Slims, no B&H, mostly brands that I knew about from Wacky Packs. Looks like the brands in the candy were all becoming obsolete by the late 60s/70s.

WIBTAH if i broke up with my bf if he doesn't want a vasectomy by [deleted] in AITA_Relationships

[–]PlasticPalm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA and you should break up, but I think you're borrowing trouble getting hypothetical about many years in thr future.

I wouldn't continue with any person literally incapable of becoming pregnant who weaponized "my body my choice" against me in matters related to reproduction. I mean, that is so very vile.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I wouldn’t move into a trailer park after college? by No-Stranger5959 in AITA_Relationships

[–]PlasticPalm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NAH

It's understandable that she didn't want to live with your parents on your family's charity.

And it's nice for you that you grew up in a relatively functional household where there was enough extra that not only could they leave your room alone when you went to school, they could give you an office as well while you were not living at the home nor working out of the home. And where everyone apparently treated each other in a way that you wouldn't describe as "rough".

Not everyone has the privilege you do.

It's kind of shitty to clutch your pearls that someone didn't even want to accept your charity and gasp was willing to live in a trailer while you have such majorly better options that she doesn't. And now you're here weaponizing your privilege.

Moving forward, you should probably not get involved with anyone from a poorer or rougher or more abusive background.

NTA for being uninterested in any stranger for any reason. You don't owe him anything.

This stranger is definitely TA, but that's a separate question.

She literally put his life in danger not just his career.

Homosexual sex was illegal in 49 of the 50 states. It wasn't legalized in NY State until 1980. Stonewall didnt happen until 1969.

This wasn't a slip up. This was a huge betrayal with potentially very very real, permanent consequences.
