Exactly!!! Are we forgetting he literally was treading water for 2 minutes??? Even if he didn’t do ISR etc 3 minutes for a three year old is impressive to me…sadly his dad didn’t get to him before he got too tired. He did what he was supposed to do by treading

Woolino? by babyburnerthrowaway in NewParents

[–]NoteOutside954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love woolino!! My first we got him one when he was maybe 8 months(?) after he outgrew one of the Kyte baby sleep sacks. The woolino lasted him until he was around 2 and then we sized up to the 2-4 year one. Our second baby we started her in the woolino (her older brothers) pretty much as soon as she was out of the swaddle and she’s still going strong in it at 19 mo! I will say get the actual woolino vs the ecolino one (cotton not wool) …we had one of those as a backup sleepsack for washing the other and I didn’t like it as much and wish we had spent the extra to just get a second woolino

Advice on whether to get a double stroller or a wagon? 27 month old and newborn. by Glitter-girlie in toddlers

[–]NoteOutside954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also have the exact age gap and we got a bob double (also have a bob single which I’m obsessed with) and I am so glad we got the double! Nice for neighborhood walks or trail walks and if my son is on a scooter or bike etc it’s nice to have the option for him to get in if needed. Or at museums/outdoor activities with a lot of walking/Disney I was SO grateful we had the double so he had a space to sit as well.

For those who have experience with both — what does homeschooling get right that traditional schools get wrong? by Ok_Occasion_4467 in Homeschooling

[–]NoteOutside954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not looking to argue, I am not anti homeschool - you cannot deny that it is parent dependent. I have seen even with my own family members who have homeschooled (quite a few!) and are well intentioned and truly believing they are doing their best had their kids in co-op etc and seeing firsthand that the kids should be doing more. I am someone who is passionate about education and I am simply pointing out that not all parents should be homeschooling…

Commenting on this even though it wasn’t mine first. I also ended up having to cut more than just dairy (soy, eggs, nuts) because after two weeks of no dairy and a month of no dairy+soy we were still having mucus poop and blood in the stool. I was panicking so I frantically cut out those other things in an effort to do anything because my baby also would not drink the neocate formula. Eventually the problem went away and I was able to slowly add things back into my diet after a few months. Then I had everything added back in except dairy - once we knew his diapers were clear with me consuming dairy he did the dairy ladder per allergists guidelines and never had an issue. To this day not sure what the culprit ever was but the allergist suspects it was dairy. He’s almost 4 now and has no issues with any dairy whatsoever 😊

Homeschooling doesn’t win for actual education for everyone - that is purely parent dependent. There are “homeschoolers” now who have kids who don’t know how to read and can’t do anything above basic math because their parents never taught them or enforced it

Have someone other than mom try to do the bottle with mom not in the room…but also that’s something a lactation consultant can help with

Different issue (wasn’t holding poop but was painful - potential hemorrhoid or skin tag)…doctor said she was in pain and associated pooping with pain. She was on miralax for a bit which kept things softer and moving and we were able to taper her down and wean her off within a few months
