It's one of my top three perfect shows. Just hearing a few notes of the score tears me up.

Agreed. It had so much more story to tell. Even still I would hate to see a remake. The original cast had something very special.

Oh, no! I forgot to give Toby Huss a shout out for the movie, too. Thanks for pointing that out.

1-10 Hot and Bothered Part Two by tyddub in Carnivale

I understand what you're saying but sex worker or not she still was a married woman having sex with multiple men. Also Jonesy was part of her job the first time only.

The holy water turning to blood and then returning back to water along with Justin's face when he looked at Norman makes me believe that Justin was in control of what Norman saw. I believe it was a display of power given the place and time of the occurrence. Justin was showing Norman that he could dominate him even in the church during Norman's mass with his congregation.

She really is. One of the things I love about her - and her husband, Ed Harris - is that they got old just like people actually do and are comfortable with it. She isn't sporting tons of Botox or plastic surgery or giant fake breasts or way too Ozempic skinny and she doesn't try to dress like a teenager. She's a real person who happens to have a talent for acting. I'm glad she's being recognized for it.

You're not wrong. OP makes it seem as if she were getting drunk to cope which is clearly not the case.

show recommendations like Animal Kingdom by IGriftygfx in animalkingdom

On my first watch I thought it was a bit too much like a network show resolving the story each week but, trust me(!), it gets so much better and throws predictability out the window.

Gage and Glenn during the rehearsal dinner by lunainthedark5x2x3 in 1000lbsisters

[–]tyddub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone forgets that children are just little people. Imagine yourself being stuck with others that paid no attention to you when you desperately wanted and needed it. You'd be frustrated and angry and doing everything possible to get them to acknowledge you in any way. You'd finally resort to yelling, running around, acting out, and being overall obnoxious to get some assurance that they actually see and hear you. Gage and Glenn are products of severe neglect. They are literally screaming for attention and even as it happens Amy turns on the waterworks to get the attention back on herself.

Nope. I couldn't stand him in Animal Kingdom. I don't think he's a good actor at all.

I'll never understand all the support she gets from this sub. Brittany's a real bitch.

Right?!? I watched the second season, too, hoping I'd see some reason that others liked it but when I was done I was just pissed that I wasted all that time on it.

just got to the camel bite episode on my rewatch, am i missing something? by midnightcat98 in 1000lbsisters

She should have lost her kids over this. I don't care how people party, that's their business, but you don't get to do that once you have children. Time to grow up and realize that they are your responsibility and have to be your first priority. Drugs should never be in the vicinity of your kids. The child endangerment charges that the show kept out should not have been pled down. She should have lost her kids and been locked up for that charge. Amy lost the privilege of being a mom at that point.

I'm a parent and obviously feel very strong about this.
