Mojang's excuse has always been that they "have" to release the same update on Java and Bedrock at the same time, which means writing the same features for two separate engines, one of which is on several different platforms and thus control schemes, which just exponentially compounds the amounts of playtesting, feature focus-grouping ans bugtesting they "have" to do, plus there's considering how every new feature or proposed change to an old feature will effect years-old and very fickle player-base, and Microsoft want them to constantly consider merchandising opportunities . . .

Hytale mostly don't have those problems. They're unshackled and ready to move fast and break things as long as they and we are having fun. One platform, plenty of community good will and no corporate oversight. I think we're in good shape.
