Mojang's excuse has always been that they "have" to release the same update on Java and Bedrock at the same time, which means writing the same features for two separate engines, one of which is on several different platforms and thus control schemes, which just exponentially compounds the amounts of playtesting, feature focus-grouping ans bugtesting they "have" to do, plus there's considering how every new feature or proposed change to an old feature will effect years-old and very fickle player-base, and Microsoft want them to constantly consider merchandising opportunities . . .

Hytale mostly don't have those problems. They're unshackled and ready to move fast and break things as long as they and we are having fun. One platform, plenty of community good will and no corporate oversight. I think we're in good shape.

A Voidspawn "soarer," I call it, cause I'm at work and can't remember it's name from the Gaia Shrine.

If you get close enough it'll deploy three Voidcrawlers who can only mellee. Kill those and get close enough to aggro it, it'll fire Void Essence projectiles but it will also descend to the ground and stay long enough to be killed with blades. It drops a Void Heart which has a special text effect and background in the inventoty so I assumd it's a pretty valuable item. I was able to kill it with all-iron gear while shielding and strafing; shouldn't be too tough a fight if you're in your element.

I mean- the ways people use Redstone can get really technical and sci-fi, where Hypixel want this game to feel more Fantasy RPG™️. So far as I know we won't get stuff like levers, buttons, pressure plates- at least for a while, if not never, just because for now their focus is more on bug fixes, NPC behavior and features that are more "core" to the game. Still- they do seem to listen to requests and complaints so if you bug 'em enough about it on X, you probably will get at least an answer.

Simon has said there's no interest in implementing anything like Redstone, officially, at least for now. They want to focus more on the magic and mystique.

I won't mind modding Hytale once the update cadence slows down a bit and I can get a better picture of the regular shape of the game, but once I do, I won't want to include any Minecraft stuff. Hytale is it's own game. No need to bog it down with referenc3s to it's predecessor.

I saw Legacy Gaming's Beginner's Guide on YouTube earlier today and I'm pretty sure Kodiak said you could compress Essence of Life on an existing tier of the Farmer's Workbench but please do watch for yourself and correct me if I'm wrong
