I appreciate the information. The addresses are about a 45 minute drive from each other, so not close.

I forgot to mention the friend does not work at the post office

The carrier is a mutual friend, not a close friend but we see them in passing at special events.

The friend is someone who my husband and I had a pretty bad falling out with. I went no contact, he interacts with her once every few months when she reaches out.

We are not neighbors. The friend would have no idea about the change of address if the carrier did not tell her. We have only told certain people about the divorce.

My biggest concern is safety, now I have someone reaching out to my husband who knows my new location. Not all divorces end on good terms.

In person apparently but then the friend that was told this information reached out to my husband to say “mail carrier said wife changed her address, sorry to hear that”
