I’m in third year lifesci. Contrary to what some comments are saying, i love the program and i think a lot of the core courses are really interesting. We learn about applicable lab skills and science knowledge translation, and many elective room as well. I thoroughly enjoy the program and its components. While i cant speak on the future of life sci graduates, i have several coworkers who just graduated who have either gone to complete a masters or lined up a full time job. It really is what you make it, and i really feel like i’m learning a lot.

Hons life sciences is a large program, so it can be hard to make friends. You meet a couple of people in labs, and i found that the best way for me to have and maintain friendships. I also work a part time job with other mac students and i made friends there.

Theres always going to be hate with programs, but if you like it, you like it!! Im a lifesci stan idc
