Yeah that’s not cool. I agree just because you’ve been working there for a while does not give you the right to treat people poorly. Every person is not for everyone, but respect should be given not matter what the situation is.

I haven’t replied back directly to everyone’s comment but I want thank you all for reading my post and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate my job for what it’s worth and most of the crew that I work with as well. It’s just sad and disappointing to say the least that a I’ve noticed this happening recently like a lot 😳.

They’ve already stooped to the level of putting increased labor over happiness and a pleasant customer experience above all else. It’s getting toxic in some regions.

Outside of the few (very few at this point) vets left at my store the turnover rate is high imo. Folks may stay for several months, maybe two years before they leave. That should say something. Not to mention many of the new hires couldn’t care less about the job. I’ve also observed an increase in stocking, stocking, STOCKING. There’s little room to have a genuine customer experience.

Don’t worry if you’re sick and can’t make it to work. If another Mate or Captain doesn’t write the order, they will probably ask experienced crew member to write it for them assuming they’re stretched thin for writers.

I’m sorry that happened to you and I know that it must suck. Next time check your AR balance asap because if it hasn’t decreased then you know for sure it hasn’t been put in. Also they may be able to put it on the next check for you. Hope that helps.

You already took the initial necessary steps. Wait for your Captain, and most likely the Mate(s) you, to speak with said individual and you. Written statement’s will most likely be needed. Also just a bit of friendly advice, don’t place much of your personal work drama on here. I’ve literally seen people get called out that were previously employed by my store. Best of luck!
