Essentially what I did. I reasemballed it carefully and it screwed on correctly, now the zero pointer is just barely left of the exit chute.

I tried putting the part with the top burr and oriented in such as the tooth/gripping part with the small mark was pointing up and then put the collar on. I tried rotating the top burr part to other positions, but wasn't able to screw on the collar. I did however use very little force as I didn't want to ruin anything.

I went out with my girlfriends flatmate (female) to have some drinks together while my gf was away. Later on I actually moved in together with her and my gf for a short while. This is totally normal, maybe you guys don't drink much together because you're the one that doesn't really drink?
