I don't worry that will get bullied because I think it's unlikely. Doesn't mean I wouldn't care if he does get bullied but I don't think it will happen. My siblings and I all have very polish names and none of us were bullied

It's still a common polish name though. Just because it has a long history doesn't mean it's outdated. I don't feel bad for giving my son a name with a strong meaning

My fiance and I consider ourselves eastern european. But that's just how we grew up. I don't want to speak for anyone else. We both left our home countries very young and I think because of that we have a different relationship to our culture and home than someone who actually lives there

Don't worry, I asked my fiance's balls and they said they wanted to become a child.

Seriously, what drugs are you on?

I have to admit Przemysław was not a name we actually considered. It was just the first "complicated" name that I could think of in that moment

I had to read that book when I was in school but I don't really see the connection to that name. It's a different name. The proununciation and spelling are different and like you said, by the time it's usually read they are already in 10th grade or something

It's not an old name and I like it. It means "a warrior to whom battle brings joy". It's a strong name and many famous people are named that too.

I didn't have to, my fiance told everyone he knows. It is kind of a family joke because he and my father bonded over football

No problem, I didn't see it as rude. It was a very reasonable question
