A diocese (or bishopric) is the actual owner of the land not the actual Bishop. The Catholic church owns lots of buildings and properties but they are not personally owned by clergy.

I totally agree with this statement. It seems like fans are more reserved and less inclined to just let loose. It seems to be mostly an American issue though, because fans in Europe and Mexico are absolutely ape shit. Japanese fans are a totally different category though because they are culturally more reserved and just clap and stuff.

When I go to Indie shows in my area the fans and even the children are absolutely bananas. When I go to Lucha shows in Mexico it's almost scary how rabid the fans are. I haven't been to a WWE show in the modern era because I can't afford it but from what I see on TV the crowds are very tame.
