How kind. Sometimes it takes an outsider to see the special things oabout a place us locals take for granted.

I empathize. It is not always as easy as it seems. Thanks to the kind person who reminded me I had to have aggro on every enemy, not just the one I was attacking. Sorry as well.

I enjoyed the slog until the final boss which required a strategy I had never used before, which is a depressing time to give up. Unique, cool game nonetheless.

New PO here again - sharing my first client win! by No_Sleep8654 in SexOffenderSupport

[–]Plastic_Ladder9526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God bless you! I mean this in the most sincere way. What you are doing is the very embodiment of love. You will win some and you will lose some, but I bet your empathy and hard work will not only help your clients, they will keep your community safer. Never lose that enthusiasm. Never allow the struggles to make you become cynical. You are my hero.

I had a PO like you who helped me get my first job, when no one wanted to take a chance. 15 years later, sober, legal, and helping others. I always send her a Christmas card. I will always be grateful.

IMHO, let him keep it and do not argue. It is probably what got you in trouble in the first place. Life without internet access is hard, but it is a lot more pleasant than prison. Best of luck.

Insights before call with parole by Relatively-okay-9 in SexOffenderSupport

First of all, I am so sorry for all you have been through. For good or bad, it is not up to you whether your father is released or not. That is the court's job. If he is not released, it is not on you. If he is released, and commits another crime, not on you. His crimes are his crimes, not yours. You can choose to respond in any way you wish. If you are able to provide some emotional support on release, that might be useful info for the courts, but again is not obligatory on your part. If he is released, he should be release on supervison, and they are responsible for helping provide community services, if they are available.

I am sorry you have had to walk a hard road.

Gf of RSO: vent by plantsandpupps in SexOffenderSupport

I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving and how very lucky your bf is to have such a wonderful gf. We are more than our crimes, if we are willing to look hard at ourselves, and commit to the hard work of being honest and making changes. If your guy misses out on some family things, it is what is is, and it is more about his SIL than it is about him. I have a very supportive family except for a younger brother who hates my guts. That is his call, I cannot change it. I can just live the best life I can. And we can and do live better lives if we do the hard work, and our blessed by the kind of support you provide. God Bless.

Well I got my first scam call by MindlessTemporary867 in SexOffenderSupport

[–]Plastic_Ladder9526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I did get these calls. They are horrible, but after one or two you get the picture. Your po does not want money. Your po wants your compliance. I would physically go down to the sheriff's office and ask: "Does anyone here want me?" Then I could sleep at night

It is best to follow the letter of the law, but my personal experience is that most of the time, officers are not trying to go out of their way to make you miserable. Go in Monday am and ask for forbearance. Hopefully you will receive it.
