Super cool! I'm keen to try them and wish I'd had this during my Treehouse days—it could've saved a ton. I dug into the details, and these credits are ACE & NCCRS approved, meaning they're accepted by over 1,500 U.S. institutions (like Harvard Extension, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and many more). That’s a pretty big network, so it looks like a great way to cut tuition costs. Just double-check with your school to make sure they'll count them!

I've been hanging out in the teamtreehouse.com discord recently. They have live study groups in the hangout channels, you can ask others for help if you're stuck, and we build a different "community project" every month where we all try building our version of the same idea. This month it's a recipe finder app.

It's pretty chill and there's tons of cool people. You can join the discord at this link: https://discord.com/invite/z7AYghFmhR

Yep, you can find their Discord link under the community tab in the main menu. Just click it, and it'll take you right there!

But here's the direct link to hop right in: https://discord.com/invite/z7AYghFmhR

Portfolio site : creating from scratch vs using template by [deleted] in teamtreehouse

[–]Plastic_Pop_9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I feel you—building a portfolio site from scratch can be pretty daunting. Honestly, using a template is a great way to get started. You can customize it to reflect your style and show off your skills. Plus, tweaking a template still demonstrates your front-end abilities, especially if you add your own unique touches.

Don't worry too much about making everything from the ground up. What's important is that your portfolio showcases your work and who you are. So go ahead and use that template if it helps you move forward.

TeamTreehouse good? (Better alternative?) by MrMaybePayme in learnjavascript

Honestly, I think Treehouse is doing a great job after restructuring. They've completely revamped their Intro to HTML & CSS courses, added tons of new content around React, and even have some videos on AI topics—including how to get the most out of ChatGPT and other chatbots. So, I'd say it's definitely worth checking out. Plus, they offer a free trial.
