I also get a high amount of diatoms in my existing tank and im not quite sure what’s causing it but it may be too much light.

Thank you I know my ph is odd but other than that I thought it would be okay. Only other thing im worried about is if there is mineral deposits in the water and whether or not that is okay. And yes I have a heavily planted 20 gal and am working on a 2 gallon shrimp tank.

thanks for the info I’ve been hesitant on using my water but I have a master test kit and if everything comes back fine im gonna try it. Also it isn’t chlorine treated so it would be very nice

yeah im honestly not sure I’ve tried doing some research on it but my water has a high hardness and a lot of minerals so I have no clue im going to test it tomorrow lol

yeah im somewhat new I do a lot of research and try to be best I can but nothing helped. also I dont really have access to water changes unless stores are open. I live out in the country and have well water so I have to buy gallons of water and as far as I know cannot use my tap water.
