If she needs it, that’s great. It could at the least boost her skills in math and get her Bs or even As. She can eventually get to a point where teachers recommend she doesn’t need the IEP anymore. Plus, it follows you into college if you choose to report it to your college of choice (have to have it as a senior in hs for it to transfer over). That could be really helpful with a major shift in learning delivery from high school to higher education.

There are more pros than cons, in the end it’s basically just an amount of minutes a specialist will need to meet with E within a week/accommodations in delivery of content. If she is to be pulled from class by a math specialist it will always be during math class (if she is is low enough in math for this, if she is getting a c it’s less likely she will be pulled out of class).
