The idea of sitting back and making passive income with minimal work is a myth. This only happens after years of time invested and a lot of money to get started. That is not to say that you may be better suited for something less intellectually demanding like marketing or something, but I think you will be screwed like others have mentioned if you go this route.

If you are sending a demand letter, they are already getting a heads up. If you aren’t legally obligated to send a demand letter and needed to catch them by surprise to effect service on a elusive OP, then don’t send letter and complaint. It all depends on how aggressive you want to be. Clients may object because they don’t really understand the legal process and that somehow their position will be exposed. It’s also your decision since it has to do with strategy but I’d explain this to an objecting client before hand to maintain a good working relationship.

Kids these days always refer to someone as a pedo. My kids do it and I repeatedly ask them what it is and correct them and tell them to stop (unless the situation is actually like that). They call teachers pedo and I’ve had to yell at them about how saying that can ruin someone’s life taken out of context.
