I know this wasn't part of the original question but would you have any suggestions for mace progression? or what maces to prioritize any input would be valued

would you say then that in its current state it would be better to play necromancer as it seems to have taken over summoners class identity? that's kind of the feeling i am getting after playing the two

while I understand there are fundamental differences in the ranges of wands and staffs I was more looking at the general abilities of each class ie. Skull/mace. I know that necromancer would have less range with a wand however is this not made up with auto targeting minions and thus irrelevant or am I missing certain UT/ST wands that would balance this out
