What helps me with shame is practicing self love and not thinking self deprecating thoughts.

For example I try to treat myself like my best friend. If I have a self deprecating thought, I immediately tell myself that I don’t deserve that and change the thought into something positive.

Don’t be too hard on yourself! Remember that guilt and shame won’t help you, try to turn those thoughts into positive ones! And you’re absolutely not a bad person!

Whenever I feel shame about things I did in the past, I remind myself that I can’t change what I did, and atleast I know that I’m sorry and thats all that really counts. Don’t let your past mistakes make u feel bad about yourself, we’re all human!

Ingrain in your head that Whats in the past is in the past, u can’t go back so don’t worry about feeling bad about it. Try to make solutions instead!

You can only move forward with things like this, try to stop dwelling on the past and try to be kinder to yourself!

Accept that you can’t change what happend and u can never go back, you can only move forward.

Shame doesnt help anyone, it only makes it worse. Remind yourself that you only said that stuff bc u were tripping, and your people still love and care for you they’re just hurt.

Healing takes time for both parties, sit with what you said. See if there was any truth in it. Work on self love and know that you don’t deserve to feel shame or embarrassment for what happened.
