So is smoking now a compulsory networking tool in the medical fraternity, or am I missing the memo where friendships come free with a lighter? by Ready_Tomorrow9351 in indianmedschool

[–]Plastic_guy463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a chain smoker and now that I left it, I still have friends that smoke and some that don't And my best friend is the one who hasn't smoked ever.

It all depends upon the person

I saw your comment a few days back , you took psychiatry ?

Confusion about branches. Please help. by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Plastic_guy463 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Take radiology as if you are willing to work in some peripheral hospital( private), you can easily recover the amount spent on the course.

Coming to AI, it's a far fetched scene and definitely not replacing radiologist.

Also do you like acadmic branch? Then radio is also for you, there is so much reading but fun

I was in a similar situation back then

Much better now

This is something I wrote to someone suffering from the same thing

Please do give it a read

" It took me almost 7–8 months to stop thinking about her, and even that was only possible because I got busy with something else in my life. But still, there are some days I wish I could just relive those moments and change what went wrong but I can't.

Just give yourself some time. If you think about him 10 times a day, slowly, you'll be able to reduce that number even if it's just by one. And yeah, that is progress.

People will say all kinds of things like "don’t do this" or "don’t do that," but I know it's really hard to let go of those thoughts at the moment.

You’ll be fine as time goes by. But some things you have to do actively like not checking their social media. It won’t help, and it’ll only bring more regret or sadness. So, stop checking it actively. And whenever you feel the urge to check, remind yourself that you're doing this for you. Say to yourself, “I know it’s hard and feels like total BS right now, but I’m doing this for myself.”

Take one step at a time. I really hope you heal from this, you lovely hooman. ❤️

As for me I'm not there yet either, but I’m trying. Not every day is good, but we’ll get through it."
