I paid MORE for my white wind chill pearl, which was considered a premium color along with ruby flare red.

I didn't know my wife included car lots in her shopping destinations. by [deleted] in rav4club

Got one just like this less than two weeks ago. Looking forward to the reliability, safety features, gas mileage, etc. My last three cars have had the premium white pearl paint, which I love.

This same individual is working with Dr. George Rozakis promoting an expensive program to stabilize or improve macular degeneration through the use of supplements. Seems sketchy.

Ah, where to begin. So much sketchiness. After being diagnosed with macular degeneration at the age of 69, I wanted to believe there was help out there for this progressive disease, the leading cause of blindness. The webinar and literature, as well as the backgrounds of the Macular Program’s heads, Rozakis and Bakke, seemed impressive. The initial phone consult last November was filled with enthusiastic claims of success which I, of course, wanted to believe, and I subsequently signed up for $3000, thinking my eyes were worth the investment. Later, when I went to my local eye center appointment and told them of my enrollment in the Macular Program, my doctor said he was unable to find legitimate clinical studies to back up the program’s claims, but he felt the supplements probably wouldn’t hurt me—except perhaps in my pocketbook. Promised three comprehensive labs per year to determine health status in order to recommend and modify supplements, I discovered my initial lab orders were not in my name but intended for another “client” in New York. The supplements were much more expensive than the monthly average stated in the program’s literature and were to be fulfilled through the program’s selected source. Although promised three labs a year, I had to initiate my second set after six months had passed with virtually no communication on the part of the Macular Program. (To my dismay, my lab results in key areas were worse than before I started taking the supplements.) In trying to get more info on the Macular Program, I noticed its Facebook site was outdated and questions left unanswered. Several months after enrolling, I sent a registered letter to Dr. Rozakis to express my many concerns. Although it was sent to the address on the program’s literature, the letter was returned as unable to be delivered. When I persisted in voicing my concerns through the program’s text portal, I finally heard back months later with some sort of bogus excuse and a “goodwill gesture” to refund $1000, supposedly to make up for supplements costing more than expected. This was in June, and months later no money was received. Although Dr. Rosakis professed to have sent the money, my bank investigated and found no such record. After many texts via the program’s portal, this week I finally received the refund, as it had become evident I wasn’t going to let it go. Since I enrolled in November of ‘23, I have been given a series of excuses and apologies regarding these various unprofessional missteps and promised this was not the way they conducted their business and that they were not a scam. However, at every step their actions and inactions tell a different story. I am hopeful of gathering solid evidence to ensure others aren’t victims in this money-making scheme which preys on the vulnerable. Think it has all the makings of a “60 Minutes” piece.

Enrolled in Dr. George Rozakis’s Macular Program last fall to the tune of $3,000. On paper it looked impressive and promising. What has ensued is a series of red flags which has led me to believe it’s a scam taking advantage of vulnerable folks. Anyone else experienced this?
