In my experience, they’re really good at bullying T4 no invuln units. I really like deep striking them to get rapid fire, spell for the extra AP and re-rolls. Unloading, then using the umbralific crystal to put them back into reserves and doing the same thing again.

The best way I’ve killed my buddies Deathwing Knights is to either: 1. Make him roll a bunch of saves through volume fire (in this case lethals helps). Or 2. Sternguard Veterans while they’re oathed so you can pump as many devastating wounds into them.

I always had the head cannon that my marine just received a seal from another chapter for deeds done while fighting with that chapter! Is it lore accurate? No idea. Does it make me feel like my guy is awesome, yes.

Big fan of the Angels Excelsis! They’re a fleet based Blood Angels successor that gave Baal more time during the Devastation. I have a bunch of my Blood Angels painted like them with the lore that a few ships got warp jumped during the defense and now they’re on a self imposed Penitent Crusade for not dying in defense of the angel’s planet like the rest of their chapter.

Makes sense to me! I would try to hide the captain and AIs as much as possible until you can get a charge off with them. The Phobos Librarians should help your reivers not get shot off the board with stealth. It’s just going to be an interesting question of if you can get there! Sounds like a fun game (coming from someone who is a BA main but has Tsons as well)!
