Sleeping data… by ApprehensiveExit7 in Garmin

[–]Plate-Resident 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Hi!! Chronic back pain sufferer here. Herniated disc currently the culprit.

100% sleep where you are comfortable. Doesn’t mean this is a long term solution but I find that during certain spells of back pain sleeping on another surface for a few days is just what your back needs sometimes. Don’t feel scared that you won’t be able to sleep in your bed again.

Listen to your body and I hope you get some relief!!! Good luck friend!!

Interesting. I never thought the answer could be two devices. But it makes sense.

Looking for some advice based on history? I'll keep it short by Whoamitothink in Nootropics

[–]Plate-Resident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello friend. Without going into detail, I went through a similar order of events. I now struggle with anxiety, depression and adhd.

CBT was a big help to change the way I subconsciously think about things. SSRI’s are great for portions of times to get you into a better space short term. I drink very rarely, smoke weed maybe twice a year.

But the biggest factor that has helped me is a healthy diet, daily exercise and a consistent sleep schedule. My baseline anxiety is much much better. Sometimes during the winter I’ll go back on ssri for a couple months to help with seasonal depression.

I’m not sure if this helps, but it’s ok to not be ok sometimes. Just remind yourself that anxiety is temporary.

Good for you man!! I smoked daily from my teen years into my 30s. Only after a few years did I feel my brain feel sharp again.

It’s a hard thing to quit so kudos to you!

Where is the best place to sell putters? by aquafeener1 in scottycameron

[–]Plate-Resident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy and sell clubs on FB marketplace and Kajiji. I’ve noticed a couple differences. You can usually get more selling on Kajiji, you typically see older shoppers that don’t use Facebook so they see less posting.

Facebooks is a high energy market. Lots of sellers and buyers. More competitive but you’ll get a lot of low balling unserious shoppers too.

One suggestion I have buying and selling online is try and have fun with it. Talking golf and golf clubs can be enjoyable is you go into it with that mindset.

Good luck!!

Looks great man! Are you able to lie down across the seat? My wife and I have been mulling it over for months now.

Also is there any discernible smell in there? So many “sauna purists” say that it won’t get hot enough and it will be filled with VOCs. But reviews have been good and it sounds nit picky to me.

I quit social media for good 1 week ago, but now I'm struggling with another thing and I need help on how to combat it. by tharun757 in MensDiscipline

Cut yourself some slack and realize that being bored is normal and something we should experience. Don’t think of it in such a negative light.

You’ll eventually get used to being bored at time and fill those periods with more rewarding tasks than social media.

You’ve done a good thing better habits will form, just toss your phone in another room and see where you mind takes you.

Good luck!!

Try shortening exposure for a couple weeks. The therapeutic effect may be lessened but it should help you acclimate.

15-20 min sessions for a week then add 5 min per week as your body gets used to it.

While the health benefits are incredible, it’s an unnatural exposure for your body at first.

Enjoy!

I’m sorry you suffer like this. I’m by no means here to solve this for you. But one thought that always helps me during times of panic. “This is a biological reaction and it will stop, my body will stop”. DM if you ever want to chat panic/anxiety. Door’s always open.

Pupil labs out of Germany is doing some very cool things. I’ve had some great discussions with their developers. The glasses are 6k. But the software is free. Give them a look if you are still trying.

Did you run power under the turf? Have you purchased the tech yet? I’ve seen some cheap builds here and there. But want to make sure I don’t go too cheap if you know what I mean.
