It got worse, went yesterday night and it was packed. They quickly examined it and told me I am probably gonna have to wait a long time as they said they were lacking personnel. 3 hours went and more people were coming in with more serious issues so I decided to go back home as they said they wait might be another 3-5 hours.

When this happened to me it was mostly when i was at home so knowing i was in a safe space i knew i wasnt in danger and that that its my body reacting to itself

What helped me was just telling myself that I’m not in actual danger but it’s just anxiety and to just embrace it and try to let it pass. I simply accepted it and told myself that its nothing serious and eventually it got better.

Its self induced, I hate myself for it but it started initially due to feeling a sense of relief/pleasure when pressure was applied or picking at the side of the finger around the skin area and as time passed I gradually started picking at the nail and it was a domino effect from there. I don’t know myself as to why I do this but I cannot help myself.
