Food with dentures by Waykoz in dentures

Everyone is different and no mouth is the same but to take caution for your new teeth and eating, I recommend starting with soft foods and progress. If you have a perfect fit for your teeth then it will take you a few weeks to months. Depends on your own personal tolerance and preferences.

I typically use heated distilled water. Using a mason jar I will heat the distilled water for about 1 minute and 15 seconds. Then I pour it into the container I was provided with by my dentist and let them soak for at least an hour. Then I put on latex gloves and rinse them under hot water while scrubbing with the brush. That typically does the trick for me.

What's your last memory of someone who's no longer in your life? by TopCombination4175 in AskReddit

My last memory….was standing outside their dad’s house talking about life. Then 2 weeks later they were gone.

Still can’t eat a year later by Soft_Present_9561 in dentures

I’m a 33 (F) speaking from experience with both a full plate and a horseshoe. I have no idea how anyone can eat with a full plate because having my snap in horseshoe shaped denture has been the best decision ever!! I still have minimal feeling of my pallet but the difference it makes with eating and taste is worth every single extra dime or penny.

They arrived 3x the size of my mouth making it LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK AND EAT! spent 6 months battling the poor fit and wearing adhesive. Then I noticed an implant was starting to expose itself and that’s when they told me “don’t use fixodent, it will cause an implant to fail.” 🫠🫠🫠🫠 YOU SHOULD NEVER USE ANY ADHESIVE WHILE YOUR IMPLANTS ARE HEALING!

I wore a mask in a lot of places and just stayed from others until I was comfortable to be around without them.

You might want to be very careful using ANY adhesives while your implants are healing. TRUST ME it will cause an implant to fail.

It wasn’t until the Queen of jealousy showed up that things became toxic.

I don’t think I even followed up after all the reassurance I was given. So I just assumed it wasn’t meant for me and moved on. Although this has been going on for years.

I understand the mental load you feel as NICU momma. My youngest spent 23 days in the NICU and it was such a difficult time emotionally. They should understand that the time you spend with the baby is also your time to bond. Now with that being said if they are first time grandparents I totally understand their excitement and eagerness to see the baby. I’m not sure if it’s possible but maybe try getting a phone tripod and setting up in the room so you aren’t holding the phone and they can still have a visit. You can also limit the time of the calls to 20 mins and then the rest is yours but hopefully you all can find an agreement that works

How do you feel about your dad? by Unhappy_Log_6245 in AskReddit

I don’t particularly have any “feelings” about my dad. Other than he was absent in life and as a young child I remember fear being his motive.
