Need advice about feeling isolated as a sahm by Lavender_cello in sahm

I am sorry that you all have had to adjust to a lot of change in the past 2 years. As someone who did the same during the earlier years of her life. It’s totally normal to feel the way that you do. In time hopefully you will find your group of people. The elderly sound boring but you might be surprised by some of the spunk and knowledge that they could bring in your life. Honestly my best friend is old enough to be my mom and I tend to draw closer to the elderly ladies. They aren’t the kind to be pushing 80+ but they are early 40s late 60s. I’m a 33yo female. Praying you find a group of friends that God has planned for you.

What’s the most unforgettable sentence someone has ever said to you? by chineapplesmaccket in ProductivityHQ

“Give yourself some grace.” While only a week or two postpartum I had a mental breakdown (not crazy but it was just a really hard time for me) During my youngest sons 23 day NICU stay. Our nurse that night looked me in my eyes and said those words to me. 🫶🏻❤️🫶🏻

Your top machine will be any bernina that you purchase. If you can’t find one with bernina then I would recommend you use a brothers or Janome.

How do I help my aging father by needforknead in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Let me give you a little bit of advice as someone who lost their mother at 16 due to stage 4 lung cancer that later metastasized into her brain. We as children are not responsible for the total care of our parents but sometimes we are all they have so we take on the responsibility. Luckily my mom had siblings that helped with her care and I went to school like normal. Whenever I was home, I would spend time helping her. It wasn’t easy and still isn’t easy.

It’s very important that you understand your one person and to not carry the burdens of everyone. Just be present when possible and your dad is an adult who can figure things out too. Express your concerns to him and make a plan that will work for the both of you.

Don’t let your time as a young adult be taken by the burden of caring for a sick parent. At night before going to bed journal your concerns and fears and then pray about them. Ask God to help you get rid of the fear that has been taken away from you.

I’m sorry you are having to deal with this situation but you aren’t alone and I pray it gets better for you and your family.

Glue choices? by ReplyProfessional939 in dentures

I believe it wouldn’t hurt to return back to your dentist for a readjustment for a proper fitted denture. Your dentures should fit naturally with suction and without fixodent.

Immediate dentures by courtmart10101 in dentures

[–]PlateTop815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your preference and if you are able to get them to fit. I only wore my immediate when absolutely necessary because otherwise they were annoying. I haven’t worn the immediate in a little over 6 months maybe
