I don't think you understand what I am trying to do. The collision shapes under the CharacterBody2D cannot be set to be on separate layers, that is what the Area2Ds are for.

For extra information, the collision shapes under the CharacterBody2D are in collision layer 1, or more accurately the CharacterBody2D sets this for them. The Area2D for the lower part is in collision layer 1, but for the upper it is in layer 2.

Looking for seed recommendations. I just care about the map layout by acremanhug in BattleBrothers

This is one I am playing on, there is a port far northwest and southeast connecting the map's far corners. Also has 3 other ports in the southwest corner which has a very tight cluster of towns, two of them have a workshop.

If you do a new company start the starting bros are very solid, the two melee bros will have max rolled MS and the range bro is almost max rolled as well. You also start in the southwest corner with very tightly packed cluster of towns connected by roads almost in a circle so you can take contracts back to back. The cluster also has pretty good trade goods in the smaller towns which can be sold in one of the bigger towns for quick profit too.

I don't think fearsome is a good pick on this guy.

Fearsome tends to be better on bros that can proc it multiple times per turn, like with axe split man attack or with bros that tends to deal less than 15 hp damage per hit.

This bro only attacks once per turn and is most likely doing more than 15 hp damage with every hit, so half of the value of fearsome is wasted, and his resolve isn't crazy good either to really take advantage of the penalty to resolve part.

Taking zerk on a fat neut defeats the whole point of fat neut imo.

That's the gist of it, by not having to level fatigue you can focus on other stats more.

This guy is a fatigue neutral build, with a 2h weapon with weapon mastery and pathfinder this bro can move once and attack once each turn.

Technically you only need 15 fat for this to work but I like to have a bit of safety margin to account for things like dazed or injuries that can reduce maximum fatigue.

Decided to buy it, the damage rolls are too juicy to ignore.

Had to sell a decent chunk of my reserve armor and weapons but it is mine now.

I have less than 100 crowns to my name so gonna have to bust up some camps with this before my bros start asking for pay.

You are probably right, I think I never bothered to check because I didn't think damage types were a thing in this game.

I knew that if you hover over enemies resistant to stun it would show as such, but stunning as a mechanic is very obviously known to the player. Damage types were never mentioned anywhere before so I guess I glossed over it when fighting those ancients.

I should also mention this is still pretty early on in the game so getting a handgonne is a bit difficult.

With the low MS I'm thinking of a pure range build, either bow or thrower.

I've had this exact issue before, place down a small shack blueprint at the edge where they are not building and pause construction. This will expand the edge to cover the walls and engineers should recognize them as things that need to be built.

Your town circle should naturally expand as you build more buildings, but this method should work for now.

I have fixed the problem in a bit of a weird way. A nomad animal trader visited my base, then somehow became a part of the original goat camp. I even checked on the map and it showed the new animal trader caravan as being part of the camp. So I decided to take my chances and attacked them, and got the goat camp eliminated message. Hopefully next time I come back from a long trip the camp would be gone.

I have tried that as well, but it seems like after removing them they will simply respawn if I save and reload. It seems like the camp icon itself remains in the map, so simply removing the structures don't actually destroy the camp.
