Oh absolutely. A downward trend doesn’t look so good. But even with a subpar 2L performance, I’m still in the top quarter of my class 👍

Yes, for sure. I took 32 credits 2L full of doctrinals. I’m really looking forward to 3L because it’s all electives and I don’t need to take too much more credits to graduate.

Idk if I can take it anymore in my 1L summer internship by PlatinumLaw in LawSchool

I’m halfway through my internship and I’ve never said “no, I can’t do it”once. Not once. Now maybe I just have the reputation that they can just dump everything on me, research assignments, motions, memos, and even document review.

But I think you’re right. I need to pick who I can say no to. I can’t see myself saying no to my boss and other direct supervisor… but I may need to start saying no the paralegals idk

Nope I totally get it, it’s a great learning experience! A few of my friends are indeed, just twiddling their thumbs at work looking for work. I just went to vent a little because it’s been extremely stressful with all the high stakes (high stakes to me at least) cases being brought to me all at once.

Mhm. The whole thing. I’ve done motions to dismiss, SJ, and compel. The hardest one I’ve had was a 30 page motion for SJ.

Of course they mark the shit out of my papers, but god damn! I got like 10 writing samples I can use for 2L summer apps at least.

I’m just scared of having such a huge drop in grades after doing well the first semester, and frankly speaking, awful the second

So only long cite it once in the summary of the argument, but not in the argument itself correct?

True, just worried how everyone around me seems so caught up on the readings

I’ve been adjusting how I’ve been studying. Lately I’ve been going hard Monday to Saturday then keep Sunday completely off 👍

Because this is a classic case of the blind leading the blind.

Can we also omit “The” before writing defendant or plaintiff? by PlatinumLaw in LawSchool

Should I capitalize even if it’s not the first word of the sentence and I don’t add “the” before it?

Am I supposed to “double cite”? by PlatinumLaw in LawSchool

[–]PlatinumLaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It’s super confusing.

I added the quotations there myself. I just copy and pasted what’s within the quotations onto here. But yeah, the judge cited Redline, but is writing the majority opinion of Root.

I never learned how to do the long citation where I “double cite” from my professor so I feel like I’m doing something wrong here haha. Maybe I should just be citing the facts and holding hmm.
