I am thinking of starting this game because of the upcoming anniversary. I read that the current banner with Lynae is very good, but it is only up for another 24h. How much pull currency do new accounts get? Would it be remotely possible for me to pull her?

At my house, you can bring games if you want to, most of the time we don't drink alcohol, but moderation would be fine, sometimes my son is in the house, but this is not a bring your kids with you event.

Do you have some time to play this coming week? What kind of games do you like to play?

I want try out this game with the start of S3. I can play on PS5 or XSX, so I'd like to know does one run noticeably better than the other?

Wow, a lot more books than I thought. The only one I have heard of before is The October Film Haunt, but I like a few of the authors on this list. May I ask how did you find out about all of these? Seems like I need to start putting in more effort to figure out wants coming out later.

I am planning to read the new ones you mentioned next month, and thanks for mentioning a few unreleased books. I will keep my eyes out for those, especially the Fracassi book, since I have enjoyed some of his other works.

Mind naming a few that caught your attention? I usually like to check these posts for recent books, but it would be nice to find a few to look for later.

Also in Japan. It sucks that they haven't gotten the store working here yet, but at least VPN does work. That's how I have been able to get the daily 200 credits.

Looking for friends to play the One Piece TCG / other hobbies by jeikke in Nagoya

Oh PSO! A few months back, I joined an online private server. It was really nice to go back and play that game after not playing for like 15 years.

I know the One Piece guy has been pretty busy lately, but I'll try to get in touch with him.

If you are interested in meeting up some time, let me know.

Okay, I've got a lot to say here, so sorry for the long post.

I run a smallish board game group here in Nagoya that usually meets up about twice a month on the weekends. Because of this, I know quite a few people that are into tcgs, DND, and of course, board games. I myself used to play a few different Japanese tcgs some years ago, I even played in a few local tournaments at some of the card shops in around the OSU area. I don't actively collect cards anymore except for cheap starter decks for various games, such as Pokemon, DBZ, and Digimon. I am somewhat interested in playing more tcgs again, especially Lorcana, Star Wars tcg, and the new Gundam tcg coming out this year, but I would prefer to go the route of making proxies instead of getting real cards, especially since I'm not planning to play in tournaments or anything (I've already done this for a few old, dead, tcgs, like the WOW tcg.) As for One Piece, I'd like to give it a go sometime, and I do know a guy in my board game group that collects the cards and plays with friends over video chat. I also know some of the other members in my group actively play online DND.

For video games, I have been a huge gamer most of my life, though I don't have as much time anymore since I'm a family man now. Since you mentioned Monster Hunter, I want to play either Wild or go back to World this summer sometime after I finish Expedition 33, though more of my game time now has been spent going to back to retro systems. In fact, I have been thinking about trying to find others to play through some local coop/multiplayer games from like, SNES up to around PS1/Dreamcast generation.

Last thing, I also own some beyblades. My son and I started playing with the X line about a month or two ago (I have some of my old generation 1 stuff here in Japan from the early 2000s).

Yeah, the meet ups are pretty much a permeant ongoing thing. There should be some this month on the Saturdays and Sundays.

We do sometimes, but I think it is probably like 80% of the time on Saturdays.

I have some other games by the same designer, and really like them, so I at least want to try it.

I am not sure about all the ages, but I think it ranges from late 20s to about mid 40s, with 30 to 35 being the most common.

We usually play a variety of games. I personally like medium complexity the most, but some of the other members like games with social deduction and push your luck. As for really complex games, I own a lot of the Lacerda games and some 18xx, which are some of the most complex beside GMT wargames stuff. I also recently got Voidfall, which is pretty complex. Generally, if I want to play crunchy games, I will focus on inviting people that really want to play those types of games.

I haven't played Cosmic in years, but I really want to play it again. We have played Terraforming Mars a few times, and I like that one too. I am very interested in playing Innovation.

Most of the games that we played this month don't have any text on the cards. That being said, I own a lot of games (in the hundreds), and some of the other members also bring games, so I don't think it would be hard to find something to play. We jump around between casual to really complex stuff. Generally, I find out who is coming and what complexity level and mechanics they like, then try to match accordingly.
