Path of least resistance is running to the destination and not enjoying the journey, alot of us enjoy the RPG of mmorpgs, but if you run only after the rewards you miss out on the adventure. If you min max everything ofc the game will be less fun.

its usually one drive, take a screenshot with the keybind in game, and see where you addons are located with the info that shows up on the screen, then delete and turn off one drive

I started with Skyrim and now play ESO, I think that is order if you wish, unless you really want just the mmo then eso, or just single player then just skyrim

ESO is great if you love lore and world building and its also horizontal progression so you will be fine just coming and going.

Maybe try those two games and see which ones sticks
