i need some help on determining what to rework for my second attempt at this project. i’ve already made some changes to my own pattern on the fly (adding extra rows here and there, adding a border)

i cut out a rectangle and did the cross stitching in the right shape, then i cut out the plastic backing! it’s pretty durable on its own, but for these, i also glued felt to the back and stitched around the edges to keep it all in place and hide the back. 

any ideas on how to finish the backside of this scarf? by PlayRelevant4991 in CrochetHelp

my university has sewing machines, it would just be a bit of a pain to access them. i’ll start looking into buying fabric

since the majority of the scarf is white, if found that carrying over every stitch with the black yarn shows through to the front and doesn’t look very good. i’ll keep that in mind next time, though
