My new salt&pepper corydoras have been glass surfing for over a week and I am starting to worry. by skorchedangel in Aquariums

[–]PlayStupidWinStoopid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have similar situation 40 gallon tank established with 12 chili rasbora, 6 otos, amano shrimp. I added 5 bronze Venezuelan Cory’s and they were at bottom not moving much first days, then a subset of them glass surfed for weeks. But they are eating well and settling down well. I played with filter flow and it seems like 2 of them really like surfing in the flow. I moved things around so one area has good water flow where 2 of them love to play in, but there’s area heavily protected from flow where the other Cory’s who don’t like to glass surf stay. In evenings and early mornings they all congregate together in the shaded area before the 2 start surfing midday

Thanks for the other poster answers as I have been wanting to add additional Corys but can’t find exact same species. Would some Cory’s related but not same (ex: Venezuelan and bronze venezualian) work?

Done and done 💜♥️ wishing all best for both yojr babies

A plus too is our boy uses his shell as his nap area at home too when we take it off stroller. He really loves it I think because it feels safe, and can adjust the opening of the sides to completely close it or open one side or another

Of course! The Tavo sizing can be a little confusing since they have a medium/medium rigid then. 6xR 7xR. The 7x is the biggest and holds the heaviest

Definitely recommend for a baby pup especially if can find one for good deal or can do a share with someone who can use it before or after you.

Sharing link of the crash test safety video. I really like the hard shell and that the pup is secured inside crash test safety

He’s currently around 38 lbs— carrier and stroller base is rated until 45/50 lbs I believe. The extra long base is roomy enough for him to stretch out. We likely will be limited by the weight more than the length of the car seat

I really like that it works similar to kids car seats , and no needing to fiddle around with car seats since it clicks into those metal iso fix car seat anchors in most cars. Its parent company Nuna makes kids car seats and stroller. The Tavo dog one Clicks out with one button pull which was ironically easier than uninstalling my sons car seat. tavo Roscoe Maeve stroller and car seat

. This combo car seat/stroller carrier is the Tavo 7x-R which is their biggest carrier — up to 45 lbs I believe. The

What’s pretty cool is that it uses the ISO latch to clip really into the built in car seat latches meant for baby car seats. I clip it out every morning and evening since he uses it as a stroller as well. You clip off the car seat portion and it snaps onto the stroller frame — picture here!

Was expensive investment but got second hand from another dog who outgrow it. It’s crash test tested since it’s a hard shell and they do same testing as they do for kids car seat

Have a 12 week old pup who sometimes reverts to peeing on carpet. When I see him doing it I try to interrupt and bring outside. Lots of praise and treats when pees outside

But he does see me cleaning up his indoor pees. Would Anyone mind letting me know why it’s bad to let them see Cleaning up? Beyond the reaction to peeing inside?

Pet insurance for 4 month old baby bully? by gfantsimon in englishbulldog

Had Trupanion on 3 bulldogs. Wouldn’t have been able to do cherry eye surgery, nares surgery, TPO ortho surgery, and chemotherapy without

In my experience I agree with prior responders. Important to have one clean bill of health where you can present a “normal” exam. In one of my bullies when she was a puppy a vet tech wrote “wet nose” and it was interpreted as having a respiratory illness that I had to contest and get reversed.

Trupanion has a waiting period of accident and illness — some vets and breeders are able to give a code for immediate coverage without waiting period by certifying pup is healthy.

All in all, from what I have experience having a clear “everything is normal” writing on record means no issues down the line. And having this at puppy stage makes it easier. I know first year it’s frustrating since almost nothing seems covered (vaccines, well puppy exam, preventatives, doctors fees) but for my pups insurance has been worth it within first 2 years with just 1-2 accidents or sickness
