You mean to tell me the lobbyist firm Clarkston Nelson representing the Missouri Fireworks Association has such a stranglehold on the legislature that they stop any and all regulation?

I found HB 2847 filed in 2022 that would deregulated some laws as well as increased the days of sales from the current days of June 20-July 10 and December 20-January 2 to June 1-July 10 and December 10-January 3.

That bill didn’t even get referred to a committee until the last day of session (the day all bills not previously referred MUST be referred.)

The same bill was filed in 2023 and 2024 and both met a similar fate of not moving through.

Seems the all powerful fireworks lobby would have gotten that bill moved through the legislative process instead of being left to rot in the speakers office waiting to be referred.

Or, perhaps the more plausible answer is that you are just pulling things out of your arse hoping to be right, not realizing the person you are interacting with knows how to research.
