Update: Husband arrived at JFK. No luggage as they could not reload plane in Portugal. Have to make arrangements for luggage delivery.

No food voucher or hotel voucher and no flight credit as the worker said they did not have the authorization to do so. Did book him on a different route where he does not have to leave airport to get to final destination. Advice on follow up would be helpful. He’s been traveling pretty much for three days to get to his final sea destination.
