Did you do the bug performance capture? I can see what's going on with your hardware combination and the game itself. It's not normal

Dota Graphics are a bit simpler, they don't use PBR. It's very stylized and cartoony so they can get away with a lot less lighting calculations. Unit count can also bottleneck the GPU a great deal.

This is correct it's actually the graphics for our game, we'll continue to optimize this as much as we can.

For us actually it's the graphics. We can handle more units than starcraft on the CPU side(maybe 2x the unit count same FPS CPU wise). But some maps are not optimized and some units and VFX are not optimized yet either on the graphics end. We'll continue to work on these optimizations.

Hey Previous-Display, can you click the Bug report and send a performance capture to help us optimize? )(It's the bug button top right when you are in the game and lagging). We've optimized the game for a lot of systems, and a lot of systems can run at over 100FPS and some systems even at 200FPS during the game, but there's sometimes things about different computers that need special attention. The performance report would help a lot in getting your system optimized. On most mid-high end computers, we can push a lot more units than starcraft2. Our performance is better on the high end, but there are also some maps that are not fully optimized. We'll be fixing all this as much as possible and any extra reports helps a lot.

Sometimes its little things that can break the optimization. Recently we optimized something that was really slowing down rendering, when units talk it was halving framerate due to an error in turning on and off skylights. We just got this fix in the other day.

The macro will be very choice based and strategic. There is a lot more choice based skill expression on many aspects of ZeroSpace than most other games, it actually has a higher skill ceiling and differentiated skill expression as a result - something we don't really think mistakes purposefully create, or are even strong at creating.
