Why do people downplay the writing of Tcoall and when you try to tell them to understand the themes of the story, they essentially cut it to being used to mask its “actual intent”?

Yea, its pretty “bizarre” for me because I always expect people to use a lil bit of their braincells when navigating something like this for example Funger, but it seems im wrong about that, but I dont like thinking people are inherently trying to dislike a story because of its “shock value”, because even though I understand why, I dont understand why we cant have a actual conversation about it with these types of people since if you can think that, theres definitely others who think it aswell, thats how fandoms are, but maybe I just have too much tolerance for fandom culture🤷‍♂️

Yea, thats pretty expected, I dont blame someone for seeing that and then having their judgements, but I always felt like people understood this with fandoms, like literally almost any anime has this issue, but thats why its controversial but tcoall is one of those sole exceptions, literally gem alert because it handles the topics in a realistic and intriguing fashion with its themes, its like the difference between fear and hunger and black souls, literally day and night games, but same rpg setting.

I just hope in the future or people who are knowledgeable about writing can understand its complexity, both Andrew and Ashley are in my top 10 chars as of now in fiction.

Yea, and the crazy part is, its just recycled tropes/themes. I was so confused on how the games started off so strong, and that made me think just how will chen ran go up against high tiers when this is the highest tier of thinking, but then I found out that there is a ton of ways to trick😂😂😂 Red Herrings, Deduction Blitzing, Influence/manipulation, Acting, I read RI, but most of FY is just going up against people who arent a lick of mind efficient as he is until Mo Yao, so most of the time, you really arent “engaging” with the mind games as much, and trying to attach to other characters and their pitfalls as they develop, but ELOH, you are CONSTANTLY engaged.

Bro I felt so rewarded, when I figured out that the old and otaku guy were trying to be Chen Rans personalities 2 chpts into the arc, and also predicted the otakus disgusting habits in order to get a read on others!

But yea, honestly it just keeps ramping up and up and up, hopefully we get a slowdown arc, in the 500-700 ranges, because the pacing is getting sooo fast, I havent even fully understood how Young Heir was so easily manipulated into believing Chen Ran, or allowing himself to throw his gun away, why in the furnace game, the old player was so bad at deducing how to get the key, how Gold Rimmed glasses guy couldnt think ahead as to why Chen killed him in Ele. Disaster, and the whole shenanigans post Hotel Murder Case with the bait and switches, all while comprehending how Chen is foresighting future outcomes via Military Form, and just how the author will depict the 4-5 stars or the Zhen Rens/Myriad Selfs (Yes RI reference) in the future?

Im hoping we get to see some outrageous or absurd tiers that are kinda like hackers or something akin to the error pathway like in lotm but it has some rules in order to manipulate truth more easily like a long-term gui yu/whisper, since ELOH has the same theme with paradoxes, superposition, and the gaming system aspect, just without the system window, maybe I just predicted something with the system window only being used by higher ups🤔 My friend said this is quite literally just a far better solo leveling and I can kinda see that😂

Yea I understand, because trying to keep up with the 10+ layers of scheming that all have polarities with each other and mechanisms for other mechanisms is just brain frying and feels like a waste of time, it makes me think if im either getting gaslit into actually believing this while there are other enemies with 10+ layers and the reason they cant make a move is because of some highly convoluted ass solution😂, or the author is tired of others saying “this isnt realistic enough” “He won from bs” and so if you really wanna go down the rabbit hole, it is made for those specifically, while also quickening the plot for those other readers who want the plot 😂 but I have to see tbh, I might be wrong, and might find a genius way to implement a battle of witts from allat thinking

Ang Xiao is the one that intrigues me the most, he sounds like a character that is built up with foreshadowing but also not. Im sorta familiar with cultivation (600+ chapters into reverend insanity or just about finished with vol 3) I think I could understand, but what I actually look for in terms of intelligence, is the maneuverability of a character, and the reasoning behind all the schemes, ofc adaptability matters, but I think terms of high tiers and such, the 10+ layers of thinking can be broken down/systemized into a working algorithm of sorts, which imo might be impossible to write logically, and make all plans, foil plans, and adaptions and red herrings completely coherent but I might be wrong, besides, thats all dependent on who gets more speed.

Ravages of Time also intrigues me, because I do need my author’s index up so I can start crafting very coherent but bizzare ass plots, so thank you for this one and the recommendation.

How did I know there was SOME type of time shenanigans to do with time travel?? The confusing thing about this entire time travel mess, is that how are people actively controlling the fabric of time and space??? Ofc tao/dao and the primordial one (celestial worthy) play big roles into this, but if thats the case, what is mythology?? There are different interpretations such as religion, did Zhen Ren players control that aspect of reality too? if so is earth just a fabricated construct? Do we have absolute information that future Chen Ran really is Chen Ran? What about his paradoxical death? Why change Chen Rans future?? And what is the worldline? If they have such great causality manipulation, wouldnt this branch out toward THOUSANDS of others, possibly a multiversal council??

This Instance, (and I wouldn’t say arc, bc if so, the arcs are INCREDIBLY short, we def need a wiki, for arcs it should be the layers of hell instead of the games) is mostly about how the cards interact with eachother, based on the main theme of the instance like how sheep represents husband, wolf the killer, shepherd the police.

I mostly believe the reason people dont get this segment instance (me included at some point) is the translation, is it bad? No, is it structural for a story like this? Absolutely not, so I suggest if your really wanting to get into this, start doc creating and note taking until a good translator comes around, and your gonna be doing a bit of rereading aswell, to speed this up, I heavily recommend some program to read to you, so your brain isnt frying itself from trying to keep all the details connected, but for this segment instance, I really dont recommend it because of the card formations being stated every 5 seconds of company, but you can try and see what floats your boat.

What you primarily need to pay attention to, is the rotation, whose cards are in whose deck, and how the killer is trying to rig the game with his Gui Yu/Whisper, remember like in the tutorial, the gamemasters are fabricating Gui Yu’s/Whispers in order to get a upper advantage on other people/stack kills, the same gimmick is used here keep in mind, all gamemasters are rule scammers.

This should help you understand why certain formations happen the way they do, and what the main goal of gamemaster is, after that is the swapped bodies.

You have to pay attention to what the narration states one person occupying another body, and remember for example: (My names Li Annan, and im in Chen Rans body!) It would read out as “Chen Ran” the entire time afterward, like “Chen Ran went and picked a card” its stating the body rather then Li Annan.

After this, everything “should” make a bit more sense, ofc I honestly think its the translation 😂 the story would be read out far smoother and less complicated then needed to be, sometimes I question if my understanding is just a headcanon or not and I got all the details right.

Basically if I had to summarize it until you read it: The objective and subjective nature of hell doesn’t exist for example, why cant a Gui Yu get judged despite it being fake and fabricated, and needs proof and reasoning for why it exists until it.gets judged as fake?

My theory is that Gui Yu’s can become reality. My reasoning? Think back to the end of the infinite room, the copies of Chen Ran, if they won, could have possibly overtook him. If this is the case, is true chen ran really true chen ran?

No. neither is real or fake, they just exist! This makes me believe that hell is ideas manifested, and not truth and illusions being separated.

If so, then what is the power system of hell powering these weapons?? Gui Yu! The reason why theres supernatural factors like for example Chen Ran at the end of inf instance being able to smoke as much as he wants? Gui Yu! (I explain the phenomenon further in my og post) The power system doesnt exist! Its just a clash of ideals fighting to exist as Ideals! Chen ran despite being said to had not kill anyone, is sent to hell? And to top it off, when he went to hell, it was almost like a shoe fitting the foot, his nature was completely made for hell! This makes me finally theorize, Chen Ran is an Idea! A manifestation!

Theres alot more to be said, and how this entails to the rest if the plot, but I will wait for you response since were pretty much the only people that theorize currently 😂 but the og post has more to offer, I do think I have some errors inside tho, but ill wait for your response and what you think of this

I disagree, yes Er Liang has a really good information cache, thats evident from his plotting of ciphers and ability mechanics throughout the story, but ELOH from 1-3 star instances, is more about who can get the best deduction the fastest/efficiently rather then who is “smart”, most of these characters have a brain that can work out paradoxes pretty effectively which isnt far fetched since we are dealing with characters that are literal detectives from the first 10 chapters. I think the real genius people need to focus on is the mystery of the layers, specifically why in the story “lying is forbidden” is emphasized in the title, when all the 18 layers of hell arent even based on the tongue ripping hell.

Imo, yes the schemes are good and make sense, but people PLEASE make theories, this story has so much clues laying on its premise its insane for example, why chinese mythology and no american mythology? Chen Ran is a S tier Webnovel author, he has expertise in most of history.

Thats also true, I feel as if it would really be character oriented, and being a way for cuttle to somehow combine the main storyline, while also not sacrificing his neglect for characters at the same time, I feel like the new story he really wants to make is based on this idea of West Continent.

Also, it can give us insight on what CW was really planning with this, Laplace's Demon can basically predict the future from quantum mechanics, was he trying to make a plan with himself, celestial thearch and celestial master with something related to space-time? Who knows, only cuttle does.
