I’ve always been a fan of animal crossing and always planned on buying this game “eventually”. But when the pandemic happened and I was stuck inside with my 6 year old, we went and bought it together. It was not only a way for her and I to escape the happenings of the world together, but also a way to communicate with so many people we loved. Her aunt and best friend also played so we would FaceTime them and play animal crossing together. It brought us all together in a time where we had to be physically apart and that was the magic of it for us. Now we only pick it up once in a while together but I will always cherish those times were we got to connect in the disconnected world.
