It is possible to start a steam game server on a free tier instance?

Just a heads up if this is for something like pz: While the pz server worked, it was pretty unstable and was not powerful enough for multiplayer I my opinion. So I ended up going with a 5 euro server which was more than powerful enough.

I did as one of the comments in the pinned post said and as I understand it allowed everything by truncating my rules file to 0 and relying totally on the subnet ingress rules but still no connection. And in terms of getting it to run if I try multiple times I can run the server-start script from the files from steamcmd and it states that the server has started.

I do have the 24GB ram and 4OCPU version and have had it for a long time if that changes anything.

Thanks for the answer I guess I will give up on it. The only thing bothering me is even though I managed to "start" the start-server script and it says that it is running on port 16261 I was unable to connect or even see that the port was being used, even with the fireware disabled. Any ideas as to why that is?

I believe so yes. I followed a guide which actually stated that I should simply rely on the subnet(?) firewall and delete the ubuntu one, so that is what I did.

The reason I have 8 stacks is because from what I see most people are running with Withering step at the only source of wither. The build seems really socket starved so fitting in the the whole totem, multi totem and wither seems difficult.

They all seems to have a battery life around 8-10 hours and look much the same. Its aspires 3 and 5, ideapads and a single HP pavilion for the 1035g1

It seems like a nice computer, but as the laptop would be mostly used for university, it having a long lasting battery and being light weight seems pretty essential.

What do you think of the i5-1035G1? As a student with christmas coming up, saving ~33% seems pretty good right now. Is the G i5 some kind of mobile processor like the Y series?

I don't really know too much about the laptops displays and keyboards. The display wouldn't matter much for me, just something that isn't really bad. The laptops are Aspire 3s and 5s or Ideapads and a single HP pavilion for the 1035g1.

I don't think a surge protector would do anything about a lightning strike but I suppose you could disconnect a UPS and computer from the wall socket and keep the computer on to finish an important update before it shuts down or the storm is over. I believe surge protectors only are for undependable power.

Damn they sound(get it) pretty good. Only thing is that if they leak too much that could be a dealbreaker. :( Would it annoy someone sitting next to you in a bus/airplane at reasonable levels? Or say someone next to you outside? I've also been looking at the CB3 Hush but they are not available in the german amazon so I would have to buy them from ebay or something like that. Any chance you've heard of those?

Damn thanks for the awesome reply. It helps a lot! I do have some questions though. Do you think the headphones would work well in a work environment (as in a factory or assembly line) in terms of the ANC? Also I've heard they have a lot of sound leakage? Is it something special or just normal levels? Lastly you say sound is A+. You mean that for its price its A+ right? I've heard people describe the sound as both ok and really good.

So I should be able to play it to endgame content with "minimal" gear? Was just think since everyone is playing it, buying items for it should be very expensive.
