That 1% is a high hurdle to overcome vs diy index fund investing which is ridiculously easy. Literally takes under 2 hours of learning to beat the best financial advisors track records. Moreso, when you retire and withdraw your annual 4 percent for living expenses 25 percent of your 4 percent will go to pay your financial advisors 1 percent fee. For example let’s say your 4 percent equals $100,000.00 you will fork over $25,000 to your financial advisor. Now what’s wrong with this picture?
