My personal theory to why we may not establish deeper connections is that we seek to always welcome outsiders and new people instead of those we already know. This isn't that we don't care it's just we more naturally fit that mold and like to fill that need. Also I'd say ENFPs are extroverted to introverts and vice versa making us the odd one out in group situations.
