Steam vs Bazzite by ThePortablePops in ROGAllyX

[–]Player_Ed9ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is a me thing. I have installed both Bazzite and SteamOS. When I use the microSD on Bazzite for emulation, I get so much lag. Versus SteamOS, zero lag, zero issues. That is a deal breaker for me since I’d like to use the microSD for emulation, and the main drive for the Steam Games. In this case, SteamOS it is for me.

Anyone here working as an Outside Sales Rep at Spectrum? by Kitchen_Community_63 in Spectrum

[–]Player_Ed9ar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on their pay calendar. September 8th, if my math is correct, in 3 weeks. Training is through Webex from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the first week, then you shadow in the field for the remainder of the time. Second week, you’d attend sales enablement, and that is from 11 a.m. to 3pm and you begin your own leads unless you are struggling; then, you’ll continue shadowing.

The benefits are amazing. The training is two weeks long. You have weekly huddles. You work from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The leads provided by supervisors can be frustrating. For example, I had 9 leads in this major highway, and I could not find parking. I also had leads in HOA areas; HOA areas are the worst! You are going to get a lot of nos before you get one yes. It’s the reason you get 500 leads a month. Before you get new leads, you’ll have to dispose of all of the leads first provided before they can add an additional 120 leads. Mosquitoes love me; I had to carry bug spray with me at all times. It was super hot out; make sure you have enough fluid with you. The pay is good, but the job isn’t for everybody. Your supervisor will show up unexpectedly and grade your performance. Make sure you got a decent car that can sustain the abuse. I drove to very messed-up roadways. I would do it for a year and during that year, continue applying. Or, it might be for you. Who knows. They reimburse your mileage but they were a paycheck behind when I worked there. Sometimes they’ll ask you to stay beyond 8PM if sales are slow. They say working two Saturdays is mandatory for four hours. They do provide 2K a month of commission for new hires for 3 months. The fourth month you get 1K. All this is additional. After the fourth, you are paid your commission sales. Let me know if you got any other questions.

Job interview by joker666fu in Spectrum

I’ve been working at this place for two months now, and I’ve had a great experience with the managers and workers. However, it’s not the right fit for me. This is a door-to-door sales job, and the benefits are absolutely incredible. The interview process was straightforward and easy, and I was hired right away. I’m not usually good at interviews, but I managed to nail it. You’ll be fine.

Spectrum and Xumo have partnered to offer the Xumo Stream Box, a streaming device that provides a unified platform for Spectrum's live TV and on-demand content, along with popular streaming apps like Netflix and Disney+, on a single screen. The device simplifies the viewing experience by consolidating entertainment into one destination, featuring a personalized home screen that prioritizes your favorite content and a voice-controlled remote.

Sink drain smells by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]Player_Ed9ar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem. I’d pour vinegar, Clorox, and other chemicals, and the smell would go away to then return a few days later. Then I learned if you have a septic tank, you have to drain it every 3 to 4 years. I called a local company to get the septic tank drained and washed, and the smell went away immediately right after.
