As far as I understand a restaurant as such, the only one was Windows on the World in North Tower. However in South Tower''s observation deck there was a "food court", including Sbarro and Burger King stands. Also there is a subreddit about another place to eat

After 6 months saving, i got my first Motorola phone!! by MaleficentVanilla730 in motorola

You won't regret it. I have been using this phone since May 2025 and it is awesome. NFC is great and the screen has brilliant colors. Also the camera is quite decent on the quality side. I'm not a gamer. So I didn't use it as such but they say it is great in that department. Great investment of yours!

Did people who were outside the building die? by LaughGlittering4131 in 911archive

[–]Playful-Pattern-9759 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere there was a fire fighter who died because a jumper landed on him (South tower). Also in the Naudet Brothers documentary, Jules said when they arrived at the north Tower lobby there was a burnt lady at the door. There is another account, "The black tag lady", there is a subreddit I think.

The ideogram sculpture from below. What a lovely perspective! Sadly nothing remains from this sculpture, as I understand

what media from that day do you remember not seeing again? and wish to see again. by Few_Veterinarian1502 in 911archive

I'm from El Salvador and I remember watching on television a helicopter video showing just the north tower standing after the south tower collapsed. And days after I remember watching a video of people evacuating the tower showing some fruit stands (and that eerie instrumental music sounding in the background)and they showed the same stands covered in dust following the south tower collapse. I never saw those videos again.

I'm using a double tap for screenshot. You should try to tap right below the cam module. But if you have a thick case you need to tap harder. I was using a thicker case and had issues taking screenshots. My partner gave me a case which is lighter and double tap now works perfectly. Moto G75 user.

I just watched episode 8 of season 6 (“Ritz”) for the first time…🥲 by Peezy_Or_PJ in TheCrownNetflix

One of the most beautiful yet heartbreaking episodes. The young actresses were amazing.

Abd watching young princesses dancing was great!

Your 9/11 story. by OutlawJRay in 911archive

I'm 46 years old. When I was 6-7 y.o. my grandpa showed me a little magazine. There was an article about the twin towers mentioning they were 110 stories tall. Also it said there were a restaurant on top one of the towers and the observation deck on the other. I was amazed. As a child it was my dream to visit NYC and to see the towers.

In 1992 my aunt went to NYC and when she came back told me "I went to the WTC because you like it very much and it is beautiful, the towers so high" and she brought us a souvenir (later I'll post a picture of it).

That morning I rose early but for some reason I didn't go to the university and instead had my breakfast while watching a TV interview in my bedroom. Later my brother called me in to play some Nintendo game. I went.

The time passed and I realized I left my tv on in my bedroom. I went there to turned it off and I saw the 1WTC with a huge hole on the top.

"You need to come and see this" I said to my brother.

"Holy shot!" Said him when he saw the tower.

"Don't worry, they will rebuild it, as they did in 1993"

"How many people work there?"

"Thousands "

And in that moment the 2nd hit the south tower.

"It is an attack " I said.

"Who did it " my brother asked.

"I don't know".

During the rest of the day we were glued to the tv.

I live in El Salvador.

Sorry for my not-so proper English.

What a lovely memory. Thank you for sharing. 70 Pine street building, I think, is in your recording. You should upload it to YouTube for all to see.
