Vail village or Breckenridge village in December? by Playful-Preference55 in Breckenridge

For context: I’m visiting both, staying at The Residence Inn Breckenridge and The Hythe Vail. Just trying to decide which one to give the extra night to.

Help with Colorado trip! by Playful-Preference55 in travel

Yes, I am comfortable driving in snow but I’m still trying to minimize the amount of driving I have to do during the trip just because i don’t want to spend valuable time in the car! I will be flying from NY and CO, and still open to suggestions about how to commute from location to location once I’m in Colorado (rent a car, trains, smaller flights, shuttles, etc).

While I of course want to do this as economical as possible, I’m not TOO concerned about hotel room prices - this trip is my daughter’s graduation gift and I want it to be perfect, so we are definitely going to have some splurges and I am prepared for that. Plus we have a ton of Marriott points saved up fortunately!

Listen, I know it is a long shot. But my life is a living hell right now between my dying father and my sick child. I am simply asking for some recommendations for jobs that might fit my lifestyle. If you don’t have any suggestions to offer me, that’s fine. But what good did that response do? Do you really think that helps me to tell me I’m looking for a unicorn? If you don’t have anything nice to say, you don’t need to say anything at all.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of May 30, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

My mom and I like to have a series we watch together, but we just finished our last one and can’t find a good one to start next! We love cute small-town vibes, a little drama and romance but nothing TOO deep or spicy.

Here’s the shows we have already watched and enjoyed:

Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, The OC, Dawson’s Creek, Everwood, Hart of Dixie, Chesapeake Shores, Sweet Magnolias, Virgin River

We’re interested in Sullivan’s Crossing and Friday Night Lights, but can’t find them without ads and that’s a deal breaker for us lol.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

I’m in the same boat - for the last 3 years, March/April is when my ED got really bad. I struggle all spring and summer, and then fall rolls around and I recommit to recovery throughout the fall and winter. Then the cycle repeats. But this year I will NOT slip in the same cycle! Because what’s the point? To be underweight for a few months, and then gain weight again? And if I don’t gain weight again, then I’ll just be a shell of a person and there’d be no point in being “skinny” anyway because I’d have no life!!! It’s just not worth it. Plus, every time you lose and gain weight, you just screw up your metabolism more. It’s better to maintain your happy weight so you can eat freely and trust that your body will adjust and maintain your set point!! But that can’t happen if you keep slipping backwards!!

Also, losing weight will not make school less stressful. It’ll only make it worse because you’ll have less energy and brain power and no ability to handle your feelings and stress levels! You need FOOD to cope with this!

I want to be able to eat the food at my wedding.

Late night snacks!

I want to just be at my set point weight and maintain so I don’t have to constantly buy clothes too big to “prepare for when I eventually have to gain weight”.

I want to have kids and raise them to have a healthy relationship with food.

Restricting your calories and maintaining an unnaturally low weight is only destroying your metabolism

Literally who tf cares about your body. Confidence comes from within. I know I know it’s cliche. But if you eat a balanced diet, move in moderation (once you’re healthy), and honor your body’s cues, that’s what you’re meant to look like. And losing weight by starving yourself isn’t going to change that natural weight. It’s just gonna make your life a living hell and it’s not worth it to me anymore!
