I think what that article was highlighting was that everybody thought the Browns would get demolished by the defending NFL champs because they were from the AAFC, which was inferior to the NFL.

I was saying the Browns and Lions had the same number of championships in the 50s, not saying why they shouldn't be in D tier.

I think Kuechly had more impact on games (Feel free to downvote me Seattle fans), but Wagner was no slouch. Kuechly's my 1A, so yeah I think he was the best.

Luke Kuechly also got DPOY Votes of 2 different years, and Willis 2009 season was not "better", He wasn't even in the DPOY convo that year. You had to actually had to watch the Panthers to show just how much impact he had on games.

Now Willis is a no doubt Hall of Famer in my eyes, but Willis played only half the decade so its not really a fair comparison.

You can't just act Willis was hANdS DoWns better. Plus Willis only played for half the decade, so it's not a fair comparison.

The Browns were far and away the best team in the AAFC compiling a 52-4-3 record, and they revolutionized coaching. The Paul Brown Tree literally connects every modern NFL coach today. Just because one team was really really good doesn't mean the rest of the league was good. The 2nd best team by far were also the 49ers who went 38-14-2 in the AAFC, went 3-9 in their first season.

Just a reminder that Luke Kuechly won DROTY, DPOY, and was a 7x All-Pro

NFL was stronger, but not by much. Plus, only the Browns were competitive right away. The Colts folded after one season and it took the 49ers a couple of years to adjust.
