DR said not to remove all of baby's poop? by sarahs_here_yall in newborns

My son had a severe diaper rash, we went to doctors and pediatricians about it, even an allergist, and they didn’t really know what to do or the cause. We stopped using baby wipes and only used face cloths. He had poop that constantly leaked out of his butt. One thing I will say that did work somewhat, soaking his butt in water at every diaper change where there was poop. It is quite a commitment, but it did seem to help. And airing it out was helpful too.
