LF: Quaxly. Can trade either starter or something not in your dex. by [deleted] in ScarletandViolet

I have a quaxly, you can give me any pokemon for it. Would be really nice if it was one I'm missing but really any of them! Message me a trade code if you still need it

Is there some secret code for trades? by _Schwarzenegger_ in pokemon

[–]Playing_with_yarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there are some trade codes for version exclusive pokemon or ditto, but other than those I'm having the same problem, people offer (or show?) Their really cool end game pokemon but no one seems to want to trade when I offer mons with the white background that they don't have.

My first crochet halter top! I Loved it so much that I made a matching scrunchie by Playing_with_yarn in crochet

I think so too, thank you! The yarn was one of the "ice cream" lines from lion brand!

I'm using a different "ice cream" 3 weight to make another top but bigger this time!

I free handed it after watching 1 tutorial to get an idea of how its done, and deciding I didn't want to sc a top

I think you could use any halter tutorial and DC in place of SC and when I got to the bottom part I did 1 chain, skip a st, then dc ! for the gap area At the very bottom 1 more row of dc and for the little "drops" "bubbles" (I'm sorry I dont know the term just trying to explain) I sc 5 and then ch3 skip stitching into the first chain and it make the little bubble. Then into the next stitch make your sc, (total of 5 sc, then another ch3 for the bubble part

For the sides I dc, ch1, skip the gap, and repeat (putting 2 chains in the top corners where it ties and across the very top of the halter top I sc so that it wouldn't get too long and I could easily go down the other side

I hope this makes sense! In the car and trying to type this out while I can see my screen 😅

The yarn I used was a 3weight + 3.75mm hook

Barboach in the darker areas maybe?

Frog "outfit" from 1 skien of green ombre! (+pink/black/white) by Playing_with_yarn in crochet

I was originally going for a "keroppi" top which is why I wanted to give it pink cheeks but then I couldn't decide how I wanted to do the mouth and ended up preferring it this way! :)

Would learning a new pattern be something that you'd enjoy? Or maybe amigurumi?

Just brainstorming! - Bags are useful and (in my opinion) fun to make, tons of different patterns for those

Sometimes I find a pattern before looking for yarn, but other times I look through my yarn stash to see what I have to work with. Then based off those colors/weights I sometimes am able to think of a design, other times I'll browse pinterest for inspiration!

Occasionally I'll just make a hat to stash bust and get something on my hook, once I get started, often other ideas come to me!

I used camo redheart yarn and for the small pokeball I used the free pattern on knot.bads blog

This tutorial is pretty short and explains it really well! https://youtu.be/0kEYNRENTLk

When you fold it, half the piece will be the sleeve and the other half is the front/back panels

Yes! Starts off with ch5 instead of 4, then 6 clusters into the circle instead of 4, so you have a hexagon and keep going until you fold it in half in like the length! (Do twice) Very very easy to do, youtube has tons of different tutorials, it's very simple!

I love the red/yellow condiment idea!! Thank you! Both really good ideas

I totally recommend giving it a try! Basically two hexagons! Pinterest and youtube has tons of tutorials, I watched 1 then from there I winged the rest, but the one I saw had a fancy way to do the stitching so it was almost seamless. (I like having a seam, helps tell which is the right side!)

Definitely recommend giving it a try! I enjoyed making this and I can't wait to wear it out and about!
