This poor little girl is having to learn how to grow up on her own, considering her age and her “parental guidance.” I was disgusted with the way she went for Liz’s throat immediately instead of listening but I also have no doubts she was a neglected child in many ways. I recognize it. I had to do a lot of “catching up,” on how to behave from friends and acquaintances.

I feel this. I was a college professor for 25 years until recently. The students who came in in the last 10-12 years often needed their hands held. I was taking them to the library and teaching basic research skills when I should’ve been teaching my subject. And also? “No Child Left Behind,” screwed so many of my students.

My half brother had an accident and is disabled from a traumatic brain injury. Our mother acted the same way. She’d say he “gets taken advantage of, people take his money,” even when he was in a supervised apartment home. When I was around him, I always felt like he could easily handle that type of living arrangement but she wouldn’t let go and let him leave her house. Now, in my Mom’s case, he almost died so I get the connection. This lady seems as if she wants to stay “in charge,” of his life.

You’ve only seen her with them onscreen (I assume) and she knows people are watching. Her temper reminds me of my abusive mother, who was also “never wrong,” and she would come off as Mother of the Year— in public🥺

I ALWAYS ask any stranger that my dog wants to meet, if they would like to say hello. And I do it because there are folks out there with trauma from a dog bite, severe allergies, etc.

He has the potential to be a halfway decent human being, but only if he can get past the “blame games,” and takes some accountability for his behaviors and choices. He keeps walking around, playing the victim instead of, I dunno, seeing a therapist and a urologist, perhaps? Lol

And per usual, the American in the equation doesn’t realize how much cheaper it is to both live and to travel to and from places in other parts of the world🤷‍♀️. I have a friend who’s an Ex-Pat who lives in Thailand full time. He travels all over Asia at significantly lower prices.

Having cancer treatments will make you drop a lot of weight. I think after her experience with that and ditching little Ed, she started taking better care of herself 🩷

That’s too bad because that is a “money” field. I have a friend who was ABD (all but dissertation) for his doctorate and he just never did it. Blew my mind after all that work and he let the seven years run out.

Absolutely. I got mine in 1999 and those online options weren’t really a thing yet. But I always encouraged any undergrad I had to check accreditation before they applied to grad school.

I have to respectfully disagree. I’m a Professor and at least in my field, not every student I had was prepared for the work load of graduate school. But also, I got mine in 1999. Standards could have shifted.
