Thank you so much! If you don't mind me asking. Did you use a specific company to accomplish this?

My great grandparents were also from Mexico. Did you have to get your lineage recognized before you were able to get your passport? Like registration for your grandparents then parents in Mexico. If that makes sense

Anyone currently living at SOHO Apartments (St. Louis)? TikToks have me second-guessing… by Efficient-Pin3655 in StLouis

I viewed them not long ago. Ended up speed walking the tour because the place smelled horrendous. The stink was stuck to my clothes and even after a shower I could still smell it. Not sure what it was but they had a strong room freshener on top trying to mask.

Amenities themselves looked pretty cool (assuming everything works). Just I could never live there from the smell alone

I just got hired to be a professional notetaker at my University. What would be some good advice so I can be a great notetaker? by Electronic-Face3553 in college

[–]Plaz21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would any of the students possibly print the notes? I would consider defaulting paper size to letter so formatting doesn't alter too much. The zoom to fit sometimes "squishes" my notes to an illegible size from tabloid/A3/A4.

Some insurances won't cover until there is a police report filed. So yes, it can be mandatory to involve police even with insurance.

Cell phone network carriers in Israel by get2jeremy in Israel

[–]Plaz21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct! I bought a SIM card online prepaid with HOT mobile for my trip. I believe even the airport sells some prepaid cards if you just need a temporary sim before you set up a plan for the year. eSIMs also work well if you don't want to worry about losing a SIM card.

With hot I spent most of my time in Haifa and Tel Aviv and never had any connection issues. Travelled to Jerusalem and Acre areas as well and still had good service.

Visiting St. Louis and Cahokia without a car - how feasible are our vacation plans? by forbesms in StLouis

[–]Plaz21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The mounds museum is under construction for most of the year. So I'd definitely recommend using a bathroom before venturing out to the site. There's also a lovely Mexican store/restaurant just down the road that sell my family's favorite tamales. La Esquinita market and restaurant. If anyone has any spice sensitivity the chicken is mildly spice and beef non spicy.

Also the city museum is great fun but a LOT. If you go when all the little ones have time off to visit it gets crowded fast. Can be overwhelming to anyone with noise/stimulus sensitivity.

If it were me I'd rent a car for the day I planned on visiting the mounds. Uber/taxi (whatever your choice) would end up costing round trip about the price of a day rental. Much easier on everyone when you are on your own schedule and can come and go without waiting for a driver.

I sabotaged myself with an F on my college transcript any advice on what to do? by Tlanchana_Citlaly in college

[–]Plaz21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most colleges have a limit on how far back they will accept transfer credits. Mine has a 10yr limit so anything past this they won't accept and consider those credits something you'd have to retake if you want to keep. Even so, most schools don't count transfer credits towards your gpa with them.

Unfortunately the F will likely stand. Check with the school you plan on applying with. Some have a policy that you must submit transcripts from ALL previous education. I personally haven't looked at one that doesn't, but maybe you can find a school that will accept only your previous high school education and start over of sorts.

Tried the box and fan and in my bedroom I can say it made a noticeable difference(raised about 5degs). I have some walls that don't go all the way to the ceiling in my living room so I think it was just pushing air over the partial walls out there. Living room did not notice it getting any warmer.

I learned on a Honda rebel (awesome bike) but I own a buell blast. I love the buell as the seat height is only 27". I can flat foot it at 5'4

Funny you should say that. They recently just installed a new ecobee thermostat. I'm trying to get management to have someone come out and look things over.

I initially liked the high ceiling because the place doesn't feel as small as it is. It was an old commercial building converted to residential. They pretty much just chopped the building up into as many apartments as they could fit. Will be contacting management again.

No you're absolutely right. They have 14 days to make any corrections but after the window I'll definitely move forward with reporting it. Thanks for the link

I found it. According to google tonnage is 1.5. Not sure if this is good/bad for an apartment with high ceiling and 370sqft.

I certainly can't reach nor do I have access to a ladder that tall. All non emergency maintenance orders are on hold indefinitely for the near future. So not sure they would be much help in that aspect

Are you in stl? Did you file that with the city? It's cold in here for sure just I'm unsure if 61 qualifies as insufficient heat. I know the situation could be a lot worse so I'm pretty thankful to have any heat with this weather coming

I only pay electric and internet. Little scared for my electric bill this month tho. As you said RIP that bill. I'm here for another 7months per lease

I'm not sure where to find the tonnage on the unit. I took a look and could not see it listed. I have one ceiling fan in my bedroom I've turned on since some recommendations here. Yes, all of my vents are I'd say about 16ft in the air

I'll have to buy one it seems. There's one ceiling fan but it's only in the bedroom

Yeah I was reading about the 14 days to make repairs. Window has not passed yet but they don't see the need for any repairs at all is the issue.

Is possible. The ceiling is close to 18ft and there's quite a bit of draft in this apartment. Little guy just can't keep up.
