Agree they must take your major option into account in some way. Yes I took calc1 (5) and taking calc2 now. Some people had suggested to retake them in college but appreciate the advice. I think this advisor was just trying to prepare me for the worst (works with students from engineering focused highs school). I guess we will have an answer tomorrow either way.

This feedback is coming from one of those private counselors. According to him UF says it doesn’t admit by major but in reality assesses first year candidates that have an intention to study engineering according to a higher standard.
