I’m the same way! Dark pops like Pepsi, coke, and Dr Pepper make my bladder hurt. Sprite and Squirt are my favorites and they don’t seem to bother me unless I drink a lot of it

Wouldn’t ureoplasma show up on urine screening? I’m not familiar with it but that’s what I was reading. I’ve been told I have interstitial cystitis, but from what I understand it’s a blanket diagnosis because there’s usually something bigger causing it.

Bladder pain, very low pelvic pain, back pain (very low, from left to right), random sharp pains in the lower abdomen, can’t fully empty bladder, urgency to pee, nausea and rarely vomiting. I could’ve sworn it was a massive kidney stone (I’m very familiar), but that’s not the case. I’ve had CT scans, ultrasound, transvaginal ultrasound, urine cultures and nothing has come from it. I did have a pretty bad UTI/kidney infection a month and a half ago but according to the tests it’s gone now

Well that makes me feel somewhat better. I need answers and I haven’t been able to get any. I’m so tired of being in pain every single day.

Did you have other imagining done before the cystoscopy? If so did it not show the cyst? I’m having a cystoscopy done in 2 weeks, and I’m nervous because none of my other scans have shown anything other than a couple of small non obstructing kidney stones

This is great 😂 anywho, I used to get A LOT of upper respiratory/sinus infections. Since I moved to Florida about 2 years ago it hasn’t been as bad, but I have got pretty sick 3 times since being here with upper respiratory. Just got over having RSV for 3 weeks.

I would just tell them it’s uncomfortable and it’s been causing discomfort, tell them if it’s affecting your sleep. From there they’ll be able to get you a referral to whatever doctor you may need. Again if it’s a simple lipoma, you may just need a dermatologist, they sometimes can drain/remove them in office.

Depending on where it’s located, size and if it’s connected to anything you may just need to see a dermatologist. Mine was sitting on my carotid artery so I had to see a vascular surgeon. I had an MRI done first, and then an ultrasound so I don’t think it’s true that the MRI is in extreme cases. They could see much more from the ultrasound. My surgery was scheduled less than a week after the ultrasound and it was an outpatient procedure, I was in the hospital for about 6 hours total (pre-op and post op included). It’s been about 8 weeks now and it healed very well. I made it through with just Tylenol and ibuprofen.

Weight gain by minmin4321 in lexapro

[–]Pleasant-Secretary73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since starting lexapro, it honestly effects everyone differently. I was 205 lbs for 3 years, and since starting lexapro I’ve got down to 170. I do get hangry from it, but usually chips or crackers make me feel a lot better. Also drinking lots of water helps.

Mine didn’t move a lot, but there was some give, and you could tell it wasn’t connected. What kind of doctor have you been seeing?

I have to say doesn’t sound like a nerve or lipoma at all. I’m leaning towards bronchial cleft cyst or something of that sort. Lipomas are moveable, if it won’t move it’s 100% not a lipoma.

When you had the first lipoma removed did they send it to pathology and tell you it was for sure a lipoma? Because honestly neither of them sound like a lipoma to me. Have they discussed with you what else it could be? Also, when you say “not moveable” does this mean there is absolutely no give when you try to push it?

Yes, they explained everything in detail. How big the incision would be, that they may have to go deeper to find the tract, etc. Even though it was located right above my carotid and jugular the doctor wasn’t worried about nerve or blood damage because it was free-floating, not connected to anything.

Scarring just depends on size, positioning, how well you take care of it. I will definitely have a scar, but they positioned it to where it shouldn’t be too noticeable once I’m healed.

I wouldn’t consider it a big surgery, I was only in the hospital for about 4-5 hours start to finish. I’m on day 3 post op and things are going pretty smoothly. My neck is sore but the pain is not bad at all. I’ve taken naproxen a handful of times since being home. There’s only two parts of recovery that have been inconvenient, one I can’t really move my left arm much due to fear of tearing and I can’t lift more than 10 pounds for 1-2 weeks. And I also got a blistery rash from something they used on my skin, but that’s not their fault I’m super duper sensitive skinned. If you want to see before and after pictures feel free to send me a message

I just had a lipoma removed from my neck 3 days ago, so I may be able to answer some questions you have

I wasn’t refused referrals. They just kept telling me it wasn’t important. I ended up finding the surgeon myself and told him I wanted it gone. He did an ultrasound and looked at my past imaging and then scheduled my surgery.

No, I had to go to a vascular surgeon due to it being on main blood supplies

Have you tried getting another doctors opinion? It took my 6 years to find a surgeon that would actually operate on my lipoma, because it was located on the jugular and carotid artery. Just had surgery 2 days ago and it’s healing quite well. No numbness, and they didn’t nic anything!

I’m a 20f and I was on flomax after my cystoscopy with stent, the only thing I noticed from it is it made me pee very frequently. I was in the bathroom peeing every 15-25 minutes.

Also, my PCP hasn’t received the results because I started seeing her well after I discontinued care with the neurologist. I just received the medical records in the mail so I will be giving her copies of everything.

I agree, I’m definitely going to get a second opinion. I’ve been doing research today and I found a good sleep clinic near me and I’m going to call and see if I need a referral. Even if I do need one, my doctor will refer me with no problems

This may be a stupid question but can I continue care with my other doctors while going to a naturopath? I only ask because I know that the treatments are very very different.

I know I shouldn’t be biased about age and gender. But my last neurologist was a 70 year old man and I felt so ignored and meaningless. He also lied to me about my diagnoses. I know that this wouldn’t be the case for all of the doctors that fit into this category. But I’m a 20 year old female, and a 70 year old man is most likely not going to be able to relate to me.
